Prof. Dr. phil. Vassilis S. Tsianos (Kiel University of Applied Sciences) teaches sociology at Kiel University of Applied Sciences. His work focuses on the sociology of post-migrant society, social science research on racism and the biometrisation of the European border. Vassilis Tsianos is Chairman of the Board of the Council for Migration and a member of the European Union's Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) Commission of Experts. He is currently working on a textbook Racism in Social Structures and Lifeworlds for Kohlhammer Verlag, in which, following the Critical Race Studies institutionalised forms of racism in post-migrant society are analysed.
