Since 2016, he has worked as a migration officer at the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation in Berlin. From 2001 to 2015, he taught and researched on the history of film, body and sexuality history and US history at the University of Cologne. He was a long-time member of Kanak Attak, co-founder of the Cologne initiative \"Keupstra\u00dfe is everywhere\" and co-initiated the tribunal \"NSU-Komplex aufl\u00f6sen\" and co-organised the tribunals in Cologne 2017, Chemnitz 2019 and Nuremberg 2022. In 2019 he published the interview volume \"Die Macht der Migration\" (Unrast) and in 2020 he realised the volume \"Erinnern st\u00f6ren\" (Verbrecher) together with Lydia Lierke.
